Jane L. (Parks) Adams, 77, formerly of Peaks Island, Maine, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at Forge Hill Assisted Living in Franklin, Mass. She was the beloved wife of David L. Adams who died in 2008.
Born in Boston, Mass. on September 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Reed B. and Jane L. (Parkinson) Parks.
Mrs. Adams was a resident of Peaks Island, Maine for many years and formerly resided in Pittsfield, NH. She grew up in Sudbury, Mass. and graduated from Sudbury High School.
Mrs. Adams worked as a lunch lady for many years in Sudbury and later at Pittsfield High School.
She was active in the Boy Scouts, serving as a den mother and was a member of the Rainbow Girls and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. Adams enjoyed doing crafts, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Heckman and her partner James Russo of Derry, New Hampshire, two sons, David Adams Jr. and his wife Pamela of Yarmouth, Maine and Brian Adams and his husband David Blackwell of Medway, Mass. and four grandchildren, Sadie Heckman, Bridget Adams, and Nicholas and Rebecca Russo.
She is also survived by a sister Joanne Gaquin of Harwich, Mass. and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Peaks Island at a later date.
