Manchester-----Alma Louise Bickford 90, formerly of Birch Heights, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at Hanover Hill Health Care Center, with her loving family by her side.
Alma was born December 4, 1925 in Gilmanton, daughter to the late Clifton W. and Bessie M. (Bean) Fogg. She worked as a secretary for over 25 years for the New England Telephone Company. She was a member of the Peabody Mt. Washington Chapter #35 OES for over 60 years as well as a member of the Emblem Club #40 in Rochester for many years.
Alma enjoyed camping and spending her summers at Bow Lake in Strafford as well as wintering in Riviera Beach in Florida for the last 30 years. She also was an accomplished artist in her younger years and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Alma is survived by her son, Karl H. Bickford III and his wife, Bonnie of Manchester, her daughter, Karen Bartley and her husband Loren of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Christopher Bickford, Heidi Erwin and her husband Candido Simental and Jay Doerfler; a great grandchild, Cameron Erwin, a sister, Elsie Fraizer of Merritt Island, Fl and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Karl H. Bickford Jr., whom she loving shared 33 years of marriage, her brother, Clifton W. Fogg Jr. and her two sisters, Martha Brickett and Laura Cate.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
Burial will be in the family lot at Union Cemetery in the spring.
