Richard E. Bourassa 72, of East School St. died February 21, 2016 at Landmark Medical Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Elphege and Jeanne (Robin) Bourassa. Richard worked in maintenance for many area businesses including the Marquette Credit Union for many years. He enjoyed spending the day at flea markets.
Richard is survived by his siblings, Margaret Bourassa of Ocala, FL, Robert Bourassa of Mufreesboro, TN, Lorraine Hodell of Columbia, TN, Judith Trudeau of Woonsocket, Beatrice Gagnon of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jeannine Makowski of Uxbridge, MA, his best friend Walter Lefleur of Woonsocket, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Pauline Leferriere.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Olo St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-6 PM.
