Joseph D. Colangelo, 66, of Blackinton Drive, Chepachet, died Saturday in the Jupiter Medical Center, Jupiter, FL. He was the husband of Frances C. Colangelo. They had been married for 45 years.
Born in Staten Island, NY, a son of the late Joseph A. and Marie A. (LaGuardia) Colangelo. He had lived in Chepachet for 42 years previously living in Staten Island, NY.
He had been a Vice President for AFC Cable in New Bedford for 23 years before retiring in 2010. He had also worked for the Collyer Wire Company in Lincoln from 1972 to 1987. He had served as the President of the Glocester Lions Club. His hobbies included gardening, music, fishing, cooking and golf.
Besides his wife he leaves his children, Melanie Roy and her husband, Mark, of Barrington, Joseph Colangelo and his wife, Peggy of Saunderstown and Jason Colangelo and his wife, Melissa, of Cranston, his five beloved grandchildren, Noah, Ryan, Brianna, Madelynn Colangelo, and Daniel Roy.
A Mass of Christian Burial Friday 9:30am in St. Patrick Church, 45 Harrisville Main Street, Burrillville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
