Laconia-----Robert Arthur Luther, 72, of Court Street died at home on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
Robert was born on January 31, 1944 in Hartford, CT the son of Howard H. and Dorothy (York) Luther. He had been a resident of Laconia for the past forty four years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1965-1968.
Robert was in law enforcement from 1973-1988 and he worked for Lakes Region General Hospital in Security from 1990-2009. He was a member of the Laconia City Council from 1996-2009 and was in the NH State House of Representatives from 2010-present.
Robert is survived by a son, Allen Luther, his wife Tiffany and their children Nicholas and Shelby; his daughter, Kim Luther and her partner Karen Whitman; and his daughter Stephanie Luther, her husband Derek and their children Addie and Rory.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, February, 25, 2016 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
There will be no funeral service.
Private family burial will be held in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
