Mary Jane M. Case, 79 of Londonderry, NH passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Villa Crest Nursing Care of Manchester after a courageous, yearlong battle with cancer. Mrs. Case was born March 28, 1936 in Derry and was a daughter of the late Edward and Cecile (Fortin) Ivon. She was educated in Londonderry and has been a resident of the town since 1945..
Mary Jane took great pride in her home, enjoying interior decoration, refinishing and upholstering furniture. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved traveling in their motorhome, visiting all 48 contiguous states and 10 Canadian Provinces. Her other hobbies included quilting, crocheting, counted-cross stich, painting and reading.
Members of the family include her four children, Michael Case of Haverhill, MA, Gerald Case and his wife Kathy, Thomas Case and his wife Linda and her daughter, Debra (Case) Donovan, all of Londonderry , her 10 grandchildren, including a very special grand daughter, Megan Donovan and 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles W. Case in 2015 and by her brother, Robert O. Ivon, Sr.
Calling hours were held Thursday, February 25, 2016 form 4 to 8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday at 10;00 am at St. Mark Parish, 1 South Road in Londonderry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
