Obituary

Johnston, Albert (Al) 80, of Quincy June 21, 2005.

Beloved husband of Netta (Pellegrini) Johnston. Loving father of Janet & her husband John Quigley of Weymouth and Ken Johnston & his wife Sherri of Stoughton. Devoted grandfather of Andrea & Amanda Quigley of Weymouth and Lauren & Jeff Johnston of Stoughton. Brother of Helen Poor of Randolph. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Friday at 10:00 AM.

Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne Friday at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Al may be made to the Pan-Mass Challenge c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 55584, Boston, MA 02205.

A Retired Captain in the Navy Reserves and former long time employee of both New England Telephone and AT&T died Tuesday at home.

Al grew up in Randolph where he graduated from Stetson High School.

Al was a US Navy Fighter Pilot in both WWII and the Korean War. He made over 250 carrier landing primarily on the USS Cabot and the USS Antiqua. Al stayed in the Navy Reserves until 1980. He was an active member of the Association of Naval Aviation (ANA) and a life member of VFW Post 3389 in Randolph.

Al was an avid golfer and sports fan.
