Obituary

Evans, GA - Promila E. D’Souza, 58, beloved wife of John D’Souza entered into rest on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Ingram celebrant. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Promila, in addition to her husband, John, is survived by: two sons, Felix Sunny D’Souza and Andre Savio D’Souza, and a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Shelly Emmanuel. Her parents, Sunny and Josephine Emmanuel, preceded her in death.
Promila had a bubbly personality, an infectious laugh, and people loved to be around her. She loved to sing, dance, cook, and be involved in the community. She was a philanthropic individual who was always looking to help others, including family, friends, and strangers. She had a passionate love for those around her that will be truly missed.
A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the funeral home. Following the service, the family will receive friends until 9:00 PM.

“Mama D was passionately involved in many philanthropic causes throughout her life. She had a tenacious spirit and always thought of out-of-the-box ideas to help those in need. One of her last fundraising events that she worked very hard for was the Race for Every Child, in support of the Children’s National Health System. Fundraising dollars are invested in future cures for some of the most devastating diseases kids face, reaching children in the Washington DC area, across the country, and around the world with life-saving treatments and groundbreaking research, and helping ensure every child can receive emergency care, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
I am going to run the race in Mama’s honor this year, and we ask that in lieu of flowers, you help donate to this cause for kids that my mom cared about. Unfortunately, registration doesn’t open up until the end of March, so please be on the lookout for an updated Facebook post with the donation link.”
