FALL RIVER… Dorothy R. (Keefe) Rys, 91, of Fall River passed away, Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of William Rys.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Clement and Rose (Clegg) Keefe and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Rys worked as a Personal Care Attendant in the health care field. She was an avid reader enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and loved her cats and dogs.
The family would like to thank Southpointe Skilled Care and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care Dorothy received.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas Keefe and Jane Keefe Viveiros.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 S. Main St, Fall River, MA. Calling hours will be held from 9 – 10:30 AM prior to the Mass. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
