Mary C. (O'Halloran) Bobick-Gallagher, a life long Charlestown resident, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center in the North End following an extended illness. She was 93 years of age.
Mary was born in Boston on June 28, 1922 a daughter of the late John O'Halloran and Annie (Connolly) O'Halloran. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Mary was a homemaker throughout her life who took care of her beloved family. She supported veteran services, loved to dance, read, and to walk. Mary cherished her grandchildren above all else.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late John Bobick and John Gallagher. She is the devoted mother of Joseph Bobick and his wife Kathleen of Somerville, William Bobick and his wife Eun Sim of Georgia, David Bobick and his friend Helen of Cambridge and the late Ann Marie Bobick. She is the loving Nana to 12 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of the late John O'Halloran, Francis O'Halloran, James O'Halloran, William O'Halloran and Edward O'Halloran. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
