Nancy A. Thornton, 54, of Londonderry, NH passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 7, 1961 in Cambridge, MA, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Casey) Dillon. Nancy was the Captain of the Cheerleading Squad when she was in high school. Once she had her own family, she was very active in Londonderry Soccer while her children played. Nancy loved people. She enjoyed spending time by the pool in the backyard, having parties and gatherings, and going to the beach. She was also a great do it yourself home renovator and fixer upper. Nancy loved her job working at Dunkin Donuts on Crystal Avenue in Derry.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald J. Thornton Jr, three children, Adam Thornton and his girlfriend Courtney, Amanda Thornton and Alexis Thornton, one brother, John Dillon, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by one brother Charles Dillon Jr.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A memorial service followed at 7:00pm in the funeral home.
