Obituary

Augusta, GA -- Robin "Rob" Roule, age 65, died peacefully on Monday, February 15, 2016 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. He was the only child of Margaret Eloise Lamar Roule and Dr. J. Victor Roule whom preceded him in death.
A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday February 27, 2016 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel. Dr. R. Larry Brown from Victory Baptist Church will officiate. Family and friends can meet before the service at the funeral home from 1:30-2:00 PM.
He was born in Augusta and developed a lifelong passion for golf at the Augusta National and The Augusta Country Club. After graduating from Richmond Academy, he trained and certified as a stainless pipe welder. He worked throughout the United States and Canada building America. He was in demand at the world's largest paper machine, the space shuttle in Lompoc, Ca. and several nuclear power houses during his 40 year career. He loved and served God at Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, S.C. His charities included the A.S.P.C.A, Golden Harvest, and The Salvation Army. He loved golf, camping, and was devoted to his dogs and cat that always traveled with him.
Mr. Roule is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-two years Lorna Roule; his two loving sons Jason and Steven Smith and their wives Kimberly and Rachelle (San Jose, Ca.); his brother Tim and sister Jody Merrifield (San Diego, Ca.); his sister Linda Ralphs and brother Ron Ralphs (Nipomo, Ca.); three wonderful granddaughters, Emma, Chela and baby Evelyn; his numerous nieces and nephews and their families. All of them were very precious to him.
