Grandmother of Christine Picanco and her companion Paul Melo, Sabrina and Alena Vieira, Jeffrey and Ashley Narcisco, Joshua and Bianca Martinez, Nicholas Picanco and his companion Carla Camara and great grandmother of Kyle Melo.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church (formerly St. Edward) at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Obituary
Mrs. Vieira died Monday at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness. Born and raised in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Amancio Medeiros and Maria (Oliveira) Medeiros. In 1973 she immigrated to United States settling in Cambridge and for the past 8 years had been a resident of Brockton. She was a homemaker caring for her family. When living in Cambridge she was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of St. Anthony Church Legion of Mary. She loved to cook for her family, watching soap operas and enjoyed bingo.
She is survived by her seven children, Carmen Picanco and her husband Manny of Lynn, Fatima Narciso and her husband Joe of Brockton, Ines Vieira and her companion Carlos Martinez of Saugus, Natalia Vieira of Haverhill, Jessie Vieira and his wife Trey of Winthrop, John Vieira and his partner Chris Milch of Braintree and Manny Vieira and his companion Darlene Heaberlin of New Bedford, eight grandchildren, Christine Picanco and her companion Paul Melo, Sabrina and Alena Vieira, Jeffrey and Ashley Narcisco, Joshua and Bianca Martinez, Nicholas Picanco and his companion Carla Camara and one great grandson Kyle Melo, three brothers, Emmanuel Medeiros of Toronto, Canada, Joao Luis Medeiros of Azores, Jose Francisco Medeiros of Azores, a sister Vidalia Janeiro of Azores and many nieces and nephews.
