Obituary

Mr. Phillip R. Wilmarth, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 18 at his residence. He was born 77 years ago in Haverhill, the son of the late Irving R. and Bernice (Andrews) Wilmarth. He was educated in Haverhill and Jamaica Plain and had been a Taunton resident since 1971. Prior to his retirement, Phillip had been employed as a watchman for the Taunton Department of Public Works for over 25 years. He was previously employed at the Mason Box Co., of Taunton for 9 years, and was formerly employed at Foxboro State Hospital as a cook for several years. He was a member of the Silver City CB Radio Club, the Portuguese-American Civic Club, the Holy Ghost Society of E.Taunton, and the Sons of Union Veterans. Phillip enjoyed fishing, riding his bicycle and walking. He attended to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in West Bridgewater.
He leaves: 2 brothers: Kenneth I. Wilmarth and his wife, Teri Marie of Phenix, Ala., and Richard F. Wilmarth and his wife Loretta A. of Holland, Ma.; 2 sisters: Doreen J. McNamara of Milton, and Jean M. Finnell of Billerica, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Patricia L. Wilmarth of Worcester.
A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 547 Manley St., W.Bridgewater, on Monday, February 22 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, W.Boxford. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Sunday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
