Mary L. (Pescione) Dello Iacono, of Stoneham died peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the Winchester Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 97.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth (Esposito) Pescione. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Dello Iacono who passed away in 2009.
Mary was a compassionate loving mother, wife and grandmother throughout her life. She loved to spend as much time as possible with her family and friends. Mary and Ralph were long-time Winchester residents. She managed, with her husband, Dello’s Lodge on Lake Winnipesaukee, Alton Bay, NH for nearly 48 years. Mary and Ralph established many lifelong friendships overseeing the lodge, as well as watching many generations of vacationers come back year after year.
She was the devoted mother of Janice Marino of Stoneham and Ralph J. Dello Iacono and his wife Jeanne of Great Falls, MT. Loving grandmother of Jenine Wright and her husband Brian, Tara Dello Iacono-Thies and her husband Aaron, Sean Dello Iacono and his wife Courtney. Caring great grandmother of Madison, Dylann, Eric, Noah and Zeppelin. Dear sister of the late Armand Pescione, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Monday, February 22nd at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge Street, Winchester, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9 through 10:30. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
