Jose M. Allemao, 93, of Acushnet died Wednesday February 17, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary (Pina) Allemao.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel A. Allemao and Zulmira (Duarte) Lopes, he had lived in New Bedford, Freetown, and Acushnet.
Mr. Allemao was formerly employed as a carpenter until his retirement.
He is survived by his siblings, Juliana Silva of Acushnet, Priscilla Walker of Texas, and Manuel Allemao of East Freetown; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
