Obituary

Ada May Duffy, “Lannie”, 92, of Londonderry, NH, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at home in Londonderry, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Heath, MA on May 20, 1923, the eldest daughter of the late Oscar and Grace (Gleason) Landstrom. Ada was a graduate of Waltham School of Nursing and a member of the US Cadet Nurses Corp during WWII. She enjoyed all facets of nursing in her 50 year career. Her family and friends were the focus of her life.
She is survived by her son, Joseph T. Duffy III of Lynn, MA, her daughter, Terri Grace Duffy of Londonderry, NH, four grandchildren Aaron ,Katie, Mollie and Marie Duffy; two sisters, Pearl Churchill of Shelburne, MA and Ruth Johnson of Heath, MA: as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph T. Duffy Jr. in 1988 and by her son James Duffy in 2012.
Visiting hours were held on Friday March 4, 2016 at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry from 4 to 7 PM. A Memorial Service was held Sunday March 6, 2016 at Heath Union Church, Heath, MA at 1:00 PM, followed by a time of fellowship. Private burial will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA HOSPICE Manchester, 1070 Holt Ave., #4, Manchester, NH 03109.
