70 of Charlestown,IN passed away February 17th 2016. He wasretired from the U.S. Army and the U.S. Customs. He was a member of Kosairs Past Commander LOH, Provost, Boat Club-Past Commodore, Bowling, Golf Club- Past President, Top Hat Gun Club President, Louisville Scottish Rite, Masonic Lodge 226, and the American Legion. He was born September 9, 1945. Rich is survived by his wife Sandra Weiss of 28 years, children Richard Weiss, Jr., Susan Tanguay, Shelly Karl, and Sherry Wilder, 8 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday February 20th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Rd 40299. Masonic services will be 6:30 p.m. and Scottish Rite services will be 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
