Obituary

NATICK: Patricia A. (Chaisson) Simcock, age 74, a longtime Natick resident, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She was the devoted wife of the late John Alfred Simcock for 39 years.

Born in Newton, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Connelly) Chaisson. Patricia was primarily raised and educated in Natick and married in 1957.

After living briefly in Marlborough where she worked at the Marlborough Country Club, the Simcocks returned to Natick to create a home for their growing family. A lady with an outgoing personality, Patricia was employed throughout her life as a waitress, never tiring of meeting new people. She retired from Vidalia’s Truck Stop in Wellesley after many happy years there.

A favorite spot for Patricia and her family was Long Beach in Gloucester, whether spending a week’s vacation there or making a day trip. She was a loving and doting grandmother, always interested in the lives of her children and grandchildren. At quiet times, she could often be found reading a good book.

Predeceased by John in 1996, she is survived by their children, John A. Simcock, Jr, of Grafton, William T. Simcock of Atlanta, GA, Matthew D. Simcock of Medway, Patrick M. Simcock of Dedham, and Michelle White and her husband Leonard of Uxbridge; six grandchildren, James, Christopher, Justin, Abigail, Caroline, and Samantha; her sister, Margaret Billingham and her husband Arthur of Holliston; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, on Tuesday, February 23rd at 10:00AM. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 1:00PM.
