Marie Hodge Green, 64, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dan Hayes and the Rev. David Ash officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Green was born October 30, 1951, in Alma, Georgia, to the late Lester & Pearline Hamilton Hodge. She lived in the community all of her life and was a former employee of Irwin Manufacturing in Ocilla and Enmark in Tifton. She dearly loved children and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years: Don Green of Irwin County; grandchildren: Amanda & Brian Hester of Ocilla, Holly Parten of Clearwater, Florida and Sean Northcutt of Hahira; great-grandchild: Reese Hester; three brothers: Henry & Kathleen Hodge, Robert Hodge and Larry Hodge, all of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Mike Hodge and Archie Hodge and a sister: Shirley Downing.
