Obituary

Rhoda Kyle Bohrer of Lake Mary, FL died peacefully, surrounded by family on February 6, 2016 at the Tippett Home Hospice in Needham, MA at the age of 58.
Rhoda was the beloved sister of Marilyn and Thomas Dewar of Wellesley, MA, and Laurie Hazeltine of Martha's Vineyard, MA; beloved aunt of Cynthia and Andy Mikesell, Kyle and Brian Moreland, and Kelly Gurney. She is also survived by great-niece, Juliana Mikesell and great-nephews, James Mikesell and Brooks Moreland, as well as many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rhoda and Matthew Bohrer of Ridgewood, NJ .

Rhoda was born on April 4, 1957 in Ridgewood, NJ. She graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy, Washington Township, NJ in 1974. Rhoda earned her BS Degree in Marketing from Boston College's Carroll School of Management in 1979. On Cape Cod, Rhoda began working for Taylor Communication as a sales associate. Over the next thirty-five years Rhoda continued in radio sales as manager and senior sales executive at Clear Channel and iHeart Media in the Orlando, FL market. Her colleagues remember her as a smart, clever, compassionate, fun-loving, friendly, witty, and warm colleague who encouraged them to challenge themselves and enjoy life.

Rhoda enthusiastically embraced Travel and visited many places in Europe and Asia on tours and cruises. She was an active and dedicated member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida and volunteered at organizing their 2014 Autumn Harvest Fair.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th, at 9:30 am at Annunciation Catholic Church, Alamonte Springs, FL. Father Stephen Parkes will celebrate the Mass.. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rhoda’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanley R. Tippett Home in Needham, MA.

A Service will be held on Cape Cod later in the year.
