Daniel Gilbert, Jr., 47, of New Bedford died Tuesday February 16, 2016 at Boston Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Daniel Gilbert, Sr. and Elizabeth (Rose) Gilbert, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Gilbert was formerly employed as a supervisor at Revere Copper and Brass.
An avid sports fan, he especially like watching the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed taking rides by the beach. He was a jokester who liked making people laugh and smile.
He is survived by three children, Anthony, Devin, and Dan-Yelle Gilbert; his sister, Terry Gilbert; three grandchildren, Alexis Gilbert, Aidyn Martins, and Nevaeh Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews, including Lavar Gilbert.
He was the brother of the late Deborah Gilbert.
