Pamela M. “Pam” Blake, 74 of Windham, NH died Monday February 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Pam was born in Neyland, Wales, UK on February 26, 1941, a daughter of the late Albert R. and Martha Mathias. She had resided in Windham since 1988 formerly living in California and the United Kingdom. Pam retired from Digital Equipment Corp. in Salem, NH where she worked as an executive secretary for many years. Pam loved to spend time in her "English" garden, and loved spending quality time with family, friends, and neighbors. She especially loved to welcome visiting family and friends from the UK and California.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Brian R.Blake of Windham, one son, Ian Blake and his wife Gretchen of Sacramento, CA, two daughters, Julie Orr and her husband Neil of Red Head, Australia, and Jane Derderian and her husband Kirk of Merrimack, NH, five grandchildren, Kevin Orr, Katie Orr, Anna Blake, Allison Blake, and Elizabeth Blake, one great-grandchild, Reuben Orr, one sister, Diana Scaife of Wales, UK, and one brother, John Mathias of England. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and her dear friend, Doreen Power and her family, all of England and Wales.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date in the UK. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
