Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Dennis B. Mento, age 65, a resident of Tewksbury for 30 years, died Monday evening, June 20, 2005 at his home.
He was the husband of Debra E. (Williams) Mento with whom he celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on February 17th.
Born in Stoneham on January 26, 1940, he was the son of the late Anthony and Elsie (LaCapria) Mento.
Mr. Mento was raised in Everett.
He attended Everett schools and graduated from Everett High School in 1957.
Following graduation, he attended and later graduated from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
In 1963, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was awarded several decorations including the Good Conduct Medal and the Sharpshooter citation for his proficiency with the M-14 rifle.
Mr. Mento was employed for 27 years as a mechanical engineer by the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Mr. Mento was a communicant of St. William’s Church in Tewksbury.
He enjoyed many activities including gourmet cooking, reading, music and genealogy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Dawn M. O’Brien and her husband Mark of Billerica and Leila A. Mento of Tewksbury; 4 grandchildren; McKayla and Jaylene Faulkner, Cameron and Desiree O’Brien all of Billerica; 1 brother; Anthony Mento and his wife Maryanne of Arlington, VT.
Mr. Mento was the brother of the late Robert Mento.
Calling hours Thursday, June 23rd from 4-7 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral Friday, June 24th at 9 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Friday, June 24th at 10 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 are requested.
