Calvin Alexander Hoyle, age 94, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016. He was born on August 7, 1921 in Mecklenburg County to the late Aron Tonnie Hoyle and the late Essie Willis. He is survived by three nieces and four nephews. Mr. Hoyle is predeceased by his wife, Irma Hoyle. Calvin was a World War II Navy Veteran, 33rd Degree Mason, a 75 year member of American Legion Post 43, and a member of Danville Scottish Rite Bodies. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
