Obituary

Milton - Dante “Joe” Balboni, age 90, passed away peacefully in his family’s company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, on Feb. 15. A resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL for the past 20 years, he formerly lived in Milton, Brockton & Neponset. A WW II Navy veteran serving as an Electrician’s Mate and throttle man in the Pacific Theatre, was a retired Marine Electrician, the self-employed owner of Omega Marine, Neponset , employee of Raytheon Co, Andover, MA and a seasonal employee of Glacier Nat’l Park, Montana . The beloved husband of the late Helen (Shea), he was the dear son of the late Alessandro & Evangeline Balboni and devoted father of Teresa Balboni & her husband David Likins of Alaska, and Sandi, James, John & Michael Balboni, all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He is survived by his cherished grandson Joshua Balboni of TN, his sister Mary “Dina” Bethany of Norwell and his loving care taker Blanca Moreno of Ft. Lauderdale. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Thurs. 4 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 511 Main St., Falmouth, Fri. at 11 am. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne, Mon., Feb. 22 at 1PM. The family would appreciate your prayers.
