Bernadette C. (Cormier) Jutras, 86 of Methuen passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Lucien J. Jutras. Bernadette was born in Madison, Maine on August 20, 1929, the daughter of Marcien and Melina (Morrisette) Cormier. She graduated from Mt. Merci Academy in Waterville, Maine. She was an interior decorator with Lawson Upholstery for over 40 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Methuen Senior Center. She was an avid gardener and knitter. She enjoyed puzzles, bowling, and taking trips to her cottage in Embden, Maine.
Bernadette was predeceased by her sister Yvonne Packard.
Bernadette will be deeply missed by her 4 children, Sandra A. Chouinard of Methuen, David J. Jutras and his wife, Luz Marina of Methuen, Diane J. Copeland and her husband, Chris of Methuen, and Barbara A. French and her husband, Keith of Coopers City, FL; her sister, Jeannette Caron of Waterville, ME; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Bernadette’s life by gathering for calling hours on Sunday, Feb. 21st from 2-6 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Monday, Feb. 22nd at 11 AM at St. Monica’s Church, Methuen, MA. Urn burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
