FALL RIVER… Andrew J. Rutkowski, 69, of Fall River passed away, Sunday, February 14, 2016 at St. Anne’s Hospital.
He was the husband of Charlene (Chew) Rutkowski of Fall River.
He was born in Fall River a son of Helen Rutkowski of Fall River and the late Frank J. Rutkowski and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Rutkowski worked as a Washer Feeder at Swan Finishing in Fall River, retiring after 35 years of service.
Andrew was President of St. John’s Athletic Club, Vice President of Immaculant Conception Credit Union, V.F.W. Fishing Club Tiverton, Bowling Green Fishing Club at the Ouellette Post V.F.W. in Westport, Holy Ghost Club Westport. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, spending time with his family, #1 Yankee fan and loved the New England Patriots.
Survivors include his widow, Mother, a daughter Nicole Faria and her husband Mario, a son Scott Rutkowski, 2 sisters: Donna Medeiros, Darlene Chouinard, a brother Joseph Rutkowski all of Fall River, a granddaughter Marissa Faria of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Diane Silvester and Frank J. Rutkowski, Jr.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 11AM at the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Bernadette’s Church, 529 Eastern Ave., Fall River. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Thursday 5 - 8 PM.
