Jeanne d’Arc (Berard) Langevin 95, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Ballou Home. She was the wife of the late Wilfrid Langevin. Born in Woonsocket, May 22, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Raoul and Herminie (Vadenais) Berard. Mrs. Langevin lived in Blackstone, MA for several years before moving to Chimney Hill Apartments in Cumberland, RI. She was a homemaker, and devoted to her family whom she enjoyed spending time with. Her hobbies included painting, knitting, sewing, and playing cards.
She is survived by a son Marcel Langevin, a daughter Lucille Jarret and her husband Michael of Bellingham, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Mrs. Langevin was the sister of the late Arthur, Louis, and Henri Berard, Florence Jacob, and Rina Bileau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. The family will receive guests at church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations to The Ballou Home Activities Department, 60 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 in her name would be appreciated.
