Holliston, MA - Eleanor M. (Nordquist) Johnson, 92, died February 15, 2016, at her residence in the Timothy Daniels House. She was the widow of James Johnson (d. 1956). Eleanor was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Elin (Fredrickson) and Otto Nordquist. She later moved to Clearwater, Florida where she resided for many years before coming to live with family in Massachusetts. Eleanor worked for the St. Petersburg Times in the Accounting Dept. She enjoyed hosting family visits at her home in Florida and spending time with her nephews and nieces. Eleanor also enjoyed traveling.
Eleanor is survived by her brother Otto Nordquist and his wife Judith of Mashpee; nephews David Nordquist and his wife Cynthia and John Nordquist and his wife Donna Nordquist; and grandnephews & grandnieces, who loved her dearly, Daniel, Tyler, Matthew, Ryan, and Kristen.
Funeral services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Friday, February 26. Visitation will be held at 6:30 pm with a memorial service at 7:00 pm. She will be interred beside her husband at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
