LACONIA - Pauline May Towle, 74, of 22 Emerald Dr., died Monday, February 15, 2016 at Concord Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born on June 18, 1941 in Concord, the daughter of the late Bernard L. and Dorothy L. (Robinson) Meader. She was a graduate of Concord High School and also graduated from the Laconia School of Nursing. Pauline worked as a Registered Nurse for Lakes Region General Hospital, retiring after 45 years of service. She was an active member of the Congregational Church of Laconia where she was a member of the Caring Connections Ministry, many church committees such as membership, nominating, mission and Parish activities. Pauline also volunteered for the Laconia Friendship Club, the Taylor Community and Shaker Village.
She is survived by her two brothers; Bernard Meader and his wife Gisele of Franklinton, NC and David Meader and his wife Linda of Concord, her nephews; Michael Meader and his friend Sarah and Jonathan Meader and his wife Yvonne, her niece, Bridgett Meader, her great niece, Abigail Meader and her great nephews; Joshua and Caleb Meader. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Durward W. Towle in 1988 and one brother, Phillip Meader in 1958.
Calling hours will be held from 11:30AM to 1:30PM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Congregational Church of Laconia, 69 Pleasant Street, Laconia.
Burial will be held in the family plot at Union Cemetery, Laconia in the spring.
