Timothy J. Riordan Jr., 77, died Saturday, February 13th, 2016, surrounded by his family.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Timothy J. and Rosamond (Smith) Riordan. He had lived in Providence for 25 years, since moving from Smithfield in 1991. He had worked as a Medicaid Investigator in the Attorney General Office before retiring in 2002.
He is survived by his children, Timothy J. Riordan III, of Providence, Terrence J. Riordan and his wife, Wendy, of Lincoln, Erin M. Riordan and Kara R. Riordan, both of Providence, as well as his five beloved grandchildren, Katie, Jennifer, Lauren, Patrick and Molly, and his sisters, Kathleen Green of Warwick and Junie Hardman of Greenville. He is predeceased by his sister, Mary Salisbury.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial to which family and friends will be invited will follow at 9:30 AM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Thursday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAV, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
