Mary J. “Maureen” (Kane) Russell, of Quincy, passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Sunday, February 14. Originally from Galway, Ireland, Mrs. Russell came to the United States as a young woman. She resided in Milton for 25 years prior to her move to Quincy almost 20 years ago. A supportive wife, mother and grandmother, she was a wonderful cook and was happiest surrounded by her loving family. The beloved wife of Patrick F. Russell, she was the devoted mother of Caroline Kinsella & her husband Michael of Milton, Elizabeth Russell & her husband Bryan Kearns of Bridgewater, Robert & his wife Desiree, Patrick & his girlfriend Jennifer O’Neill, and John Russell & his wife Kristen, all of Quincy. Dear sister of Bridget Picard of Waltham, Julia Cacciola of NY, Martin Kane of England, Tina Donoghue, Monica Lydon, Vincent, Joseph, Francis & Patrick Kane, all of Ireland and the late Kathleen & Michael Kane. She is also survived by 9 cherished grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Saturday morning at 10. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, 8:30 to 9:30 Saturday prior to Mass. Burial in Milton Cemetery.
