Paul J. Donahue of North Truro died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. He was 84. His partner of 36 years, Thomas J. Merritt, died in 2005.
Born and educated in Boston, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Holland) Donahue. Paul was a Korean era US Army veteran. Paul retired after 16 years with the Boston Police Department’s motorcycle division. He then became a Deputy Marshal for the US Marshal Service in Boston.
He and his partner Tom summered in Truro since 1979 and moved here full time in 1996.
A sister, Carol Ellsworth and her husband Paul of Lehigh Acres, Florida, a step brother, George Mann of Boston, and a niece, Susan Sibayan of the Philippines survive him. Two brothers, John and Robert and a sister Arline predeceased him.
At Paul’s request, there are no services.
