WORCESTER – Jean M. Tasse, 81, died Saturday, February 13, 2016, in his home, after a long battle with dementia and Parkinson’s Disease. He is survived by his daughter, Robyn Tasse of Worcester; his daughter-in-law, Martha J. Tasse of Worcester; his brother, Joseph Rene Tasse Jr. and his wife Janice of Pennsylvania; several grandchildren, including Melanie Tasse, Stefanie Tasse, and John Paul Tasse Jr., all of Worcester; four great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two children, John Paul Tasse and Kimberly Tasse; and three sisters, Denyse Tasse, Monique Tasse, and Francoise Tasse. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph Rene and Jeanette (Laurendeau) Tasse, and lived in Boston and Worcester throughout his life.
Mr. Tasse worked for Lansdowne Associates in Boston for 50 years, retiring as general manager in 2005. He loved to watch NASCAR and traveled throughout the United States to watch racing. He enjoyed everything in the entertainment world, especially concerts and music. He will be remembered as a generous person who supported many charities throughout his life.
Calling hours are Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at Alfred Roy and Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the beginning of the calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date.
