BIDDEFORD- James Edward Canning, age 66, formerly of Biddeford, most recently of Scarborough, passed away on Feb. 13, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Portland.
He was born in Worcester, MA on March 2, 1949, a child of Brenton and Iris (Smith) Canning.
After graduating from high school, Jim went on to serve in the USMC and later studied at Boston Tech.
He will always be remembered as a family-man would enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Jim was a member of the Teamsters and served in several official positions.
He is predeceased by his mother Iris.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife- Lynn (Baillargeon) Canning; daughters- Colleen Concepcion of Biddeford and Natalie Moulton of FL; father Brenton of MA; brothers- Donald Canning of MA and Brian Canning of RI; and grandchildren- Nicholas, Vennessa, Corban, Devin, and Shawn.
A celebration of Jim's life for Jim's family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 1-3 PM at the AMVETS hall in Biddeford.
