William Charles “Moose” “Bill” Anderson, 76, of Tifton passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Anderson at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. Dr. Danny Ray will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Austin Williams, Brent Williams, Coy Tawzer, Darrell Norman, Jimmy Norman and Charles Bailey will serve as pallbearers.
Born November 16, 1939 in Leadville, Colorado, Mr. Anderson was the son the late Walter William Fredrick Anderson and Lois White Anderson. He was retired and previously worked as a miner at Peagus Mines in Emily, Nevada, a train engineer in Chama, New Mexico and at Kelley Manufacturing Company in Tifton. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Tifton and had lived in Tifton since November 14, 1994.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Marilyn Elaine Williams Anderson of Tifton; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Janet Anderson of Sumter, South Carolina; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kerri and Bruce Harding of Canby, Oregon and Valina and Mike Ball of Littleton, Colorado; two step-sons, Timothy Williams of Tifton and DeWayne Williams of Doles; a sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Ken Paulson of Oravado, Colorado; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
