Amabile "Bill" V. Rizzo of Medford died on Saturday, February 13, at Winchester Hospital. Born and raised Chiusano, Avellino, Italy, he was the son of the late Virginio and Concetta (Reppucci) Rizzo. Amabile was employed as a law enforcement officer. He came to the U.S. in 1960 and settled in Medford.
Amabile was the beloved husband of Annunziata (Rosatone) Rizzo, and the devoted father of Gino Rizzo and his wife Kathleen of Wilmington, and Anthony J. Rizzo of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of David and Gina Rizzo, and cherished brother of Alfonso, Amorino, Linda and Paolina, all of Italy. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, February 19 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, February 18, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
