Miss Kathleen Ann “Katie” Dargan, of Taunton, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 surrounded by family and close friends after a long battle with ALS. Born January 11, 1960, Katie was raised in Westwood, MA. She was the daughter of Marion E. (Knapp) Dargan of Plainville, MA, and the late James Dargan. Katie is also survived by her brother, Marty and sister-in-law Charlotte Dargan of Wolcott, CT, her sister Maureen, brother-in-law Herbert Anderson, III, and nephew Ian Anderson of North Providence, RI. Katie was a graduate of Westwood High School, Class of 1978. A stand-out athlete, Katie played varsity volleyball and softball in high school. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed music, gardening, vacationing in Hampton Beach, NH, and spending time watching her beloved Boston Red Sox. Katie spent the last 13 years of her career at General Dynamics in Taunton, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Katie’s life at the VFW, 82 Ingell Street, Taunton, from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 21, 2016.
