
Fortunata (Ruisi) Puccio passed away peacefully at her home in the company of her loving family. She was 74. Born and raised in Palermo, Sicily she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Giuseppa (Caminita) Ruisi. She and her late husband, Gaspare, came here in 1972 and settled in Medford. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed time with her large family and many friends. She was especially proud of her grandchildren. She was a devoted member and supporter of the Santa Rosalia di Palermo Society.
The beloved wife of the late Gaspare G. Puccio who passed away in 2003, she was a devoted mother of Anthony Puccio and his wife Billie of Wilmington, Lorenzo Puccio and his wife Angela of Medford, Maria Martignetti and her husband Ben of Chelmsford, Danny Puccio and his wife Lina of Medford. She was a loving grandmother to Christina, Sofia, Alessia, Gabriella, Isabelle, Gianna, and Beniamino III. She was a dear sister of Salvatore Ruisi and his wife Francesca of Italy, Vittorio Ruisi of Medford and his late wife Cristina, Guy Ruisi and his wife Anna of Stoneham, Domenica Dealtan of Melrose and her late husband Basilio, Mariarosa Puccio and her husband Giovanni of Medford, Franco Ruisi and his wife Arlene of Watertown, Eleanora Schena and her husband Jerry of Medford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday February 18th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St Clement Church, 71 Warner St, Medford at 11 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday 4 - 8.
