Dorothy Claire (Boudreau) Morin, 81, of 25 Union Avenue died on Sunday evening, June 19, 2005 at Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was the daughter of the late Honore and Alice (Poirier) Boudreau. She was born August 15, 1923 in Laconia and had been a resident of Gilford and Laconia all of her life.
Dorothy was the owner of Dotty’s on Sleeper Hill Road in Gilford for many years where she was a hairdresser to many.
Dorothy was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia, and a former member of the Catholic Daughter’s of America.
She enjoyed walking with her granddaughters, bowling, and line dancing, as well as participating in the local sewing club.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Richard Morin in 1986, and her son Rick Morin in 1996.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter Patricia M. Dolan and her husband Dave of Meredith. Two granddaughters, Rebecca and Kathryn Dolan also of Meredith. She was the aunt of many.
A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, at 10:00 a.m. Rev Adrien R. Longchamps, pastor of the church celebrated the mass. Burial followed in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia. A visitation period preceded the mass from 9:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. Family and friends were invited to attend.
