Obituary

Joseph W. Grenon Jr. 75, of Attleboro, MA, and formerly of Woonsocket, died Thursday, February 10, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital with his family at his side. He was the husband of the late Doris (Belanger) Grenon. Born in Somerville, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Robina (Miller) Grenon.
He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Grenon worked for the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale, MA, Brown and Sharpe, and finally as a custodian at The Taunton State Hospital, retiring in 2005. He was a member of The Franco-American War Veterans Club of Woonsocket and the American Legion of Attleboro, MA.
He also enjoyed being a limousine driver for many area livery companies.
He is survived by three children; Joseph Grenon III of Seekonk, Richard Grenon of Cumberland, and Jeanne Laliberte of Woonsocket, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a sister Ernestine Grenon of Harrisville. He was also the brother of the late Irene Kane.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, February 16, at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St, Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Monday 4-7PM.
