Sam (Salvatore) F. Gattinella, son of Frank and Carmella Gattinella of Lawrence, MA, passed from this life in peace on January 19th at Saint Elizabeth’s hospital in Brighton, MA. Sam was the gracious, and loving father of David Gattinella, Karen Gattinella, and Pamela Mouradian (nee. Gattinella). Sam graduated from Lawrence High School in 1950 and joined the US Air Force in 1951. Sam served his country with honor, pride, and distinction as a radio operator in the Mosquitos: 5thAir Force 6147th Tactical Control Group 6150th Tactical Control Squadron. Sam retired from New England Business Systems as manger of computer operations in 1990. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an impressive 3.9 GPA in 1997. Sam was a member of the VFW, DAV, and the Mosquito Association. Sam is survived by his three children, Pamela’s husband JT, and their daughter Casey. Casey brought love, joy, and light to Sam’s life and he loved her with a profound love.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Rd. Salem, NH.
