Anthony Spina, 83 of Orleans MA, formerly from Jamesville NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Feb. 8, 2016 after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Virginia (Ewing); three sons: David (Tina) Spina of Southwick MA, Andrew Spina of Wilton Manors FL, Peter Spina of Chestnut Hill MA; one daughter, Katherine (Philip) Tuohy of Beverly MA; and four grandchildren: Sienna Spina, Nicolas Spina, Emma Tuohy and Jack Tuohy. After serving his country in the US Air Force, he graduated with honors from Syracuse University School of Architecture. He worked as an architect for several Syracuse area architectural firms before opening his own firm, Anthony Spina Architect. Upon his retirement from architecture he opened a machine shop, Spina Precision Machine at his home in Jamesville. He enjoyed spending time in his shop and restoring machines, working on his home, golfing and trout fishing, as well as traveling and being with his family. Services are private.
