NATICK: Marcella A. “Marcie” Thibault, age 80, a lifelong Natick resident, died peacefully at the Eliot Nursing and Rehab Center in Natick on Monday afternoon, February 9, 2016.
A 1953 graduate of Natick High School, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Josephine (Langevin) Thibault. Marcie was a talented cook and particularly loved to bake. After a long career of baking for the Natick Public Schools, she joined the staff at Natick’s Stop & Shop Bakery for several years. Family, travel and shopping were the great joys of Marcie’s life. She was a devoted aunt to her large brood of nieces and nephews, keeping each birthday, anniversary, or life’s event at the forefront of her calendar. If either of the words party or trip were uttered in her presence, Marcie was packed and ready before the sentence was finished. She vacationed annually in Aruba with her sister Jackie, toured much of Europe, and made several jaunts to the West Coast and Florida. She happily filled downtime with a trip to the mall.
She was the devoted sister of Jacqueline Norton of Natick, and the late Doris Rogers, Lorraine Harrington, Simone Kerr Mayotte, Rita Belanger, and Jeanette McClure. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Monday, February 15th at 9:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Patrick’s Church at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday, 2 – 5PM.
