Lucille "Lucy" Wilcox (Aprille) passed peacefully into the arms of Our Lord surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was 77 years old. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 59 years, Charles, her children Michael and his wife Susan of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; Laura Abaire and her husband Arthur of Orlando, Florida; and Joseph of Waymart, Pennsylvania. She is the loving grandmother of four, Danielle, Kristen, Matthew and Cameron and the great grandmother of two, Joshua and Dia. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Aprille of Marshfield, MA as well as a great many cousins and nieces and nephews throughout the Boston area.
Lucy will always be remembered for her deep compassion for others, her beautiful spirit and her smile. She was the owner of the Fireside Restaurant in Dedham before retiring to travel and spend time with her family. She loved to golf, and was a champion horseshoe player.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
