Obituary

NATICK: Mary Louise (Doucette) Brown, age 75, of Natick, a retired registered nurse and Waltham native, died peacefully on Tuesday night, February 9, 2016. She had shared 47 years of marriage with the late Paul E. Brown.

Born, raised and educated in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Stella M. (Cormier) Doucette. She graduated Waltham High School in 1958 and later earned her RN through the Waltham Vocational School of Nursing.

Mary Lou and Paul married in 1959, and settled in Natick to raise their family. Mary Lou was employed with Leonard Morse Hospital for many years prior to working with the staff at Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care. She retired in 2007.

An enthusiastic Patriots and Bruins fan, Mary Lou also made a point of cheering her grandchildren on at their sporting events whenever possible. She had been a longtime parishioner of Saint James the Great Church in Wellesley and a member of the Lofty Square Dancers in Weymouth. She enjoyed traveling.

Predeceased by her son, Michael P. Brown, she is survived by four children, James P. Brown and his wife Wendy of Milford, Timothy J. Brown and his wife Sandra of Natick, Paul “P.J.” Brown and his wife Tara of Milford, and Nancy A. Bellevance and her husband Ben of Sandwich; 14 grandchildren, Jillian, Nicholas, Casey, Janelle, Matthew, Timothy Jr, Ashly, Cameron, Courtney, Kendra, Jared, Taylor, Jordyn, and Michael; numerous great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Paul A. Doucette and his wife Patrice of Mendon, and Robert J. Doucette and his wife Ann of Westborough.

Her funeral will be from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common on Monday, February 15th at 10:30AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick at 11:30AM.
