Elvira M. (Rezendes) Gagnon, age 99 of Somerset passed away February 9, 2016. She was the widow of Joseph Oscar N. Gagnon and daughter of the late John D. and Maria C. (Andrade) Rezendes. Elvira was a homemaker, a parishioner of St. John of God Church,a member of the Holy Rosary Society, the Ladies Guild, the Daughters of Isabela and the PACL.
Elvira was the mother of Arthur E. Gagnon (wife Eleanor) and Lucia M. Casey (husband Richard) of Somerset. She was sister of the late Manuel, Joseph, Marianno, Antone, Ernest, John, Arthur and Rose Rezendes and Mary Thomas. She also leaves 3 grandchildren: Julie Silva (husband Tony), Linda Andrade (husband Eric) and Joseph Gagnon, 5 greatgrandchildren: Victoria Gagnon, Mitchell Corr, Nicole Silva, Adeline and Owen Andrade and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River SATURDAY at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
