Obituary

WEBSTER – Felix Moninski, 89, of 16 Eddy Street, died Saturday in Hubbard Regional Hospital after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Regina S. (Kwiatkowski) Moninski; a son, Richard J. Moninski of Mineral Point, Wisconsin; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Moninski of Webster and Edward Moninski of North Grafton, and by a sister, Florence Siegmund of Webster.

He was born in Worcester and raised in Dudley, a son of Teodor and Mary (Nowicki) Moninski, and lived here most of his life. He atttended Bartlett High School and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant.

Mr. Moninski was a tool maker at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for about forty years, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica and the American Optical Quarter Century Club. He was an avid gardener and fisherman. He also enjoyed photography.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 22, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
