Belmont----- Richard R. Hancock, age 73, died on Friday, February 5, 2016 at his home. He was born on February 19, 1942 in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Fred and Isabelle (Dube) Hancock.
Richard "Dick", was a retired master electrician, working for many years with the Local 490 I.B.E.W. He loved being at home and working around the house, which was evident to all because of his perfectly manicured lawns and beautifully landscaped gardens. He was a great handyman and took pride in being able to help build all three of his children's houses. He was a very caring person and a great father. Home was truly where his heart was. He surely will be missed.
Richard enjoyed hot rods, the outdoors and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. In Richard's earlier years, he enjoyed hunting with his brother Norman.
Members of the family include his wife of 53 years, Lorraine (Bickford) Hancock; a son, Dean Hancock and his wife Kimberly of Gilmanton; two daughters, Jamie and her husband Scott Clark of Gilmanton and Jody Fortin of Belmont; a sister Corina Clairmont of Florida and a sister in law Anna Hancock of Laconia; seven grandchildren, Jillian, Derrick, Taylar, Colby, Zachary, Jennifer and Brady. Richard also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was also predeceased by a brother Norman Hancock and a sister Sheila Morancy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Richard's name can be made to the grandchildren of Richard Hancock Fund located at the Bank of NH, 62 Pleasant St., Laconia, NH 03246.
